155 Willow Street

Part of a larger project at the Cambridge Housing Authority Roosevelt Towers property, 155 Willow Street will be a new 4-1/2-story new building on an existing lightly used parking lot adjacent to the main Roosevelt Towers parcel.  The new building will utilize modular construction techniques to minimize the schedule and to provide for improved quality control across the breadth of the project.

The building will contain 26 units with a mixture of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms.  The wood framed modular units will be constructed in top of a concrete plinth structure that will provide covered parking for about ½ of the units.  The project will meet or exceed the most current codes, including the energy code and the stretch energy code currently in effect in Cambridge, MA.  For energy and sustainability certification, the project will seek Enterprise Green Communities certification.
