Senior Architect

Dietz & Company Architects is growing! We are seeking a Senior Project Architect with a desire to lead project teams and develop their career in a creative and collaborative studio environment in our main office in Springfield or as a member of our growing office in Cambridge, MA. This position offers the potential for firm and practice group leadership through the development and implementation of firm initiatives.

You should consider this role if you:  

  • Hold a professional degree in architecture (B-Arch or M-Arch) from a NAAB accredited school
  • Are a licensed Architect with 10+ years of direct architectural experience,
  • Have strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills,
  • Are dedicated to quality project management,
  • Have a desire to lead a team through complex project tasks,
  • Have an interest and ability to mentor and supervise less experienced staff,
  • Have proficient knowledge of building science, sustainable technologies, construction methods, building code, and zoning principles
  • Can work in Revit, and are proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Have design experience on multi-family housing, hospitality, and/or publicly funded projects.

As a member of our team, you will:  

  • Collaborate with company leadership to realize the creative vision of projects,
  • Manage and coordinate collaborative, integrated design teams through all phases of design,
  • Act as the primary client contact for projects,
  • Prepare and deploy strategic plans to lead and manage production teams to complete one or more projects simultaneously,
  • Potentially lead a design practice group within the office, based on your experience.
