Caring Health Center

Location: Springfield, MA

The Caring Health Center,a Section 330 Community Health Center, serves over 22,00 people and provides community-controlled healthcare services including primary and preventive care, as well as many clinical services and health education.
The project required comprehensive renovations to three contiguous historic buildings for a 57,535 square foot Department of Public Health licensed outpatient medical clinic in Springfield, Massachusetts. We have worked as a team with the owner to develop a facility that puts patient needs first – from the first experience as they walk in the door to the last encounter before they leave. We worked together to develop logical and organized work flows that protect customer confidentiality and privacy. Our design will provide energy savings and a quality-of-life experience for both patient and provider through sustainability features from specifying healthy materials to providing and controlling natural light.
