S.A.F.E. School

Location: Springfield, MA

Dietz & Company Architects worked with the City of Springfield on this conversion of a convent into an elementary school for children with special needs. Along with a new addition for the entrance and lobby space, the design included a full renovation of the interior and exterior of the existing building. Built in the 1960’s, challenges included extensive asbestos and low ceiling heights that required careful planning for new systems.
