Dietz & Company Architects, Inc. is pleased to announce that Chloe Richards has joined the firm’s Cambridge office in the role of Design Associate where she will support project teams throughout all phases of design.
Chloe recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design where she earned dual master’s degrees in architecture and city planning. Her graduate thesis examined an alternative mode of architecture, situated in Indigenous ecology and design theory, as a tool for creating climate resilient design in solidarity with the ecosystem. Her research also explored how engagement with Indigenous communities can inform climate resilient designs that help promote and protect sense of place, history, and community.
During her academic career, Chloe gained professional experience through internships with a Philadelphia architecture firm where she contributed to cultural, educational, and institutional projects, including work involving historic preservation and adaptive reuse.
Chloe will be a valuable addition to Dietz & Company’s talented group of emerging professionals. Her background in architecture and city planning, along with her interest in community-based and climate resilient designs, will be an asset to the firm’s diverse portfolio of projects.
